Metric Coffee, Colorizied:
Colorized, a vibrant blend of Ethiopian coffees, offers a playful, candy-like taste with tropical fruit notes and confectionery sweetness, perfect for fans of lighter roasts seeking an adventurous, effervescent coffee experience.
Big Shoulders Coffee, 1848:
Our newest espresso, inspired by the second industrial revolution, features a rich, dark, and lively profile with flavors of cacao nib, warm tobacco, vanilla, and a hint of pomegranate, echoing the early days of Chicago's industrial era and its pivotal role as a transportation and distribution hub.
Groundswell Coffee Roasters, Fortitude:
Our House Blend coffee, inspired by the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration and the 1914 Endurance Expedition, embodies the motto "Fortitudine Vincimus" (by endurance we conquer). It's a robust blend of beans from Cajamarca (Peru), Grecia (Costa Rica), and El Mural (El Salvador), featuring varieties like Villa Sarchi, Caturra, Typica, Catimor, and Bourbon, processed using washed and honey methods at altitudes of 1300-2000 masl.
Bridgeport Coffee, Southside:
The Southside Blend celebrates the diverse culture of Chicago's Southside, from Bridgeport and the White Sox to Chinatown and Little Village, honoring landmarks like the Great Northern Migration Monument and the Museum of Science and Industry, with a heavy-bodied, sweet-fruity profile, roasted locally and served across Chicagoland and beyond.
Modest Coffee Roasters, The Modest:
PRODECOOP, established in 1992 in Nicaragua, is a pioneering cooperative in the fair trade coffee movement, supporting over 40 local cooperatives with access to credit, social programs, and environmental training. It operates a central dry mill and cupping lab for quality control and traceability, with this particular coffee lot coming from the 22 de Mayo cooperative in Madriz, known for its consistent quality and community-focused approach.
