Established in 2013, Nobletree Coffee Company distinguishes itself by operating its Monte Verde and Santa Izabel family-owned farms in Brazil. Nobletree practices sustainable agronomy and its Santa Izabel farm earned the Rainforest Alliance Certification in 2019 — in the same year, Nobletree launched its “Neighbors and Friends” program to support the quality of life of its farmer partners.

The light/medium Dromedaire Cuvée Light Roast included in this month’s box is Fair Trade USA Certified, Rainforest Alliance Certified.

FROM THE ROASTER
Our flagship roast, Dromedaire, is named in honor of the ship that carried the first coffee sapling from Martinique to the French colonies of South America. It is a sweet, bold and approachable coffee from our very own farm, Fazenda Monte Verde, in the Carmo de Minas region of Brazil. It is a blend of varietals grown in different plots at varying elevations on the farm. We remove the skin from the coffee cherry, leaving the fruity mucilage around the seed, and dry it on our patios. This creates a very sweet, clean and uniform cup, with a big body that we hope you’ll enjoy.”

FROM THE ROASTER
Lago is just a perfect Guatemalan coffee. This great offering displays crisp acidity, with subtle floral characteristics, and deep sweet notes that present themselves more and more as the cup cools. We love it as a single origin espresso or brewed in a Chemex. Lago is grown by small farmers who live and work around the stunningly picturesque Lake Atitlan after which the coffee is named.
